Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and integrate experiences that may feel “stuck.” Rather than focusing only on talking through the past, EMDR works directly with the way memories are stored in the nervous system—allowing distressing experiences to feel less overwhelming and more resolved over time.

In addition to weekly sessions, I offer EMDR intensives and extended sessions. Intensives can be a good fit if you’re looking to focus more deeply on a specific experience or pattern, or if weekly therapy has started to feel slow or fragmented. Some people choose intensives when they feel ready to process something significant, want to build momentum, or prefer a more immersive approach to their work.

Before we begin, we’ll meet for a consultation and planning session to clarify your goals, assess readiness, and identify what you’d like to focus on.

During the intensive, we’ll move at a pace that feels manageable while allowing for more continuity than weekly sessions. There is time built in for grounding, breaks, and integration so the work doesn’t feel rushed or overwhelming.

Afterward, we’ll check in about next steps and any support you may need to continue integrating what we’ve worked on.
